A minute of silence for Araquistáin
A minute's silence was observed at the Movistar Arena before the Real Madrid-Olympiacos game.
The Movistar Arena observed a minute's silence before the start of the game between Real Madrid and Olympiacos in memory of José Araquistáin, one of our most legendary goalkeepers ever, who passed away last Sunday at the age of 88.
Araquistáin played for Real Madrid for 7 seasons, from 1961 to 1968, winning 1 European Cup, 6 Spanish League titles and 1 Spanish Cup. He was the goalkeeper of the sixth European Cup, which Real Madrid won in Brussels in 1966. In the 61-62 season, he won the Zamora Trophy.
