On the occasion of Real Madrid's visit to Liverpool, fans from both teams joined together to pay tribute to Arthur Johnson, Real Madrid's first-ever manager, who is buried in Wallasey Cemetery, near Liverpool. The Peña Madridista La Gran Familia and the Peña Tribuna Lateral took part in the event, which saw a wreath laid at his grave and an exchange of gifts between supporters of the two teams.

Arthur Johnson's name is linked to the history of Real Madrid. As a player, he has the honour of having scored the first goal in the team's history. He also became Real Madrid's first coach, a position he held for ten seasons.
