On 20 December 2014, our team beat San Lorenzo de Almagro 2-0 in the final of the Club World Cup held in Marrakech (Morocco). Sergio Ramos was the stand-out player of the tournament, as he scored in the semi-final and the final and was elected Ballon d'Or.
In the match against San Lorenzo, it was Ramos who scored the first goal in the 37th minute and Bale put the game to bed with his goal in the second half. Earlier, in the semi-final, Real Madrid took on Mexican side Cruz Azul and won 4-0 thanks to goals from Ramos, Benzema, Bale and Isco. This edition was the first to be won in the Club World Cup format and the fourth title of a great 2014 after winning the la Décima, the Copa del Rey and the European Super Cup.
