The Whites dominated the first half and went into the break with a ten-point lead. That was enough to see them through the rest of the game and lift the trophy with a 47-36 victory. The top scorer for Madrid in the final was Galíndez, with 20 points.
Before the big final, Real Madrid eliminated Cultural Covadonga in the quarter-finals and Liceo Francés in the semi-finals. 73 years after this first Cup title, Real Madrid dominates the competition's honours list with 29 trophies.
