The Real Madrid basketball team collected its ninth Copa de España in 1965. The Whites clinched the title by defeating RC Náutico Tenerife (107-82) in a final that was played in Salamanca. This victory was the first of three consecutive Spanish Cups that Pedro Ferrándiz's team would win between 1965 and 1967.

Before the decisive match, the Whites beat Picadero (89-66) in the quarter-finals and Joventut (107-103) in the semi-finals. With this cup triumph, Real Madrid won the three major competitions in the same season for the first time in their history, having previously won the league and the European Cup.
