Today marks the 57th anniversary of Real Madrid's 12th league title. On 9 April 1967, the Whites mathematically clinched the championship with a 3-0 win over Córdoba on the penultimate matchday of the season. In the second half of the clash, the Bernabéu faithful celebrated the championship in style courtesy of goals from Grosso, Veloso and Amancio.
That season, Real Madrid finished five points clear of Barcelona in the standings and never lost a home game. On an individual level, Betancort claimed the Zamora Trophy, while Gento (11 goals) and Grosso (10) were the team's top scorers. That Madrid squad was coached by Miguel Muñoz, who secured his sixth LaLiga crown.
