It is 32 years since Real Madrid won their 27th La Liga title. On 26 May 1994, the team managed by Clifford Luyk were crowned champions after beating Barcelona in the final. In that best-of-five series, only three games were needed, as the Madrid side clinched the title in quick succession by winning the first two at home (81-67 and 79-69) and the next one away (64-77). In this way, our team secured its second consecutive league title.

During the regular season, Real Madrid finished top of the table with a record of 24 wins and 4 defeats. In the play-offs, they knocked out Breogán in the round of 16, Manresa in the quarter-finals and Estudiantes in the semi-finals, before facing Barcelona in the final. Arvydas Sabonis was the standout player that season, being named both the season’s MVP and the MVP of the final.
