It is 31 years since Real Madrid won the Ibero-American Cup. On 25 May 1994, our team won the only edition of this competition, which pitted the winners of the Copa del Rey and the Conmebol Gold Cup against each other. The title was decided in a two-legged final against Boca Juniors with the Santiago Bernabéu as the venue for the first leg. In that match, Real Madrid beat the Argentinian side 3-1 thanks to a Morales brace and a goal from Hierro.

The second leg took place six days later in Buenos Aires. Boca Juniors took the lead with goals from Da Silva and Naveda. But Milla secured the Ibero-American Cup for Real Madrid with his goal in the 74th minute and clinched a 2-1 victory. This was the final act of a season in which the Whites had previously won the Spanish Super Cup.
