On 3 June 1995, Real Madrid claimed their 26th LaLiga title. The Whites mathematically secured the title on the penultimate matchday after beating Deportivo La Coruña at the Santiago Bernabéu (2-1). Valdano's side took the lead through Amavisca, Bebeto equalised and a late Zamorano goal ensured the Madridistas celebrated the league title in front of their home fans.

That season, Real Madrid collected 55 points while Deportivo finished second with 51. With 76 goals scored, Madrid were top scorers in the championship and Zamorano won the Pichichi with 28 goals. In addition, it was the season of the debut of the legendary Raúl.
