On 21 March 2020, Madrid fans bid farewell to Lorenzo Sanz, the club's president from 1995 to 2000. During his tenure, Real Madrid won the coveted seventh European Cup in an unforgettable final against Juventus. Mijatovic scored the goal in Amsterdam that returned the continental title after 32 years.
