A decade of education in values through football in Cambodia
The Real Madrid Foundation continues to work to provide opportunities for extremely vulnerable children in the prefecture of Battambang.

The Real Madrid Foundation's socio-sports schools in Cambodia celebrate their tenth anniversary. In collaboration with the NGO Sauce, a local partner of the project, the Foundation continues to work to offer opportunities to children in situations of great vulnerability in different centres and residences in the prefecture of Battambang.
Under the apostolic mission directed by Monsignor Enrique Figaredo, minors are provided with a safe and protected environment in which they can grow, learn and develop. In this context, sport has become a crucial tool for their integral development. As part of the ongoing commitment to quality training, training sessions were held for the project's coaches. A total of 12 professionals participated in these sessions, focused on strengthening their educational and pedagogical skills.
Objectives
The main objective was to improve the transmission of the values of the educational project “For Real Education: Values and Sport” through football. During the sessions, participants had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the meaning of each value (such as respect, autonomy, camaraderie and equality) and to explore recreational and participatory strategies to integrate them effectively into their football training sessions. The training proved to be a success and the teaching staff refreshed their motivation to continue "Coaching football: teaching values".
