Real Madrid ambassador Roberto Carlos, and the Foundation's managing director Julio González Ronco, unveiled the second Educational Football Program in the state of Nuevo León (Mexico) at Real Madrid City. The program will be run in collaboration with True Matters, with support from the San Pedro Garza García town council and the HEB Foundation.
The event highlighted the aim of the initiative, which is to promote the holistic development of children and young people through sport, fostering the values transmitted by the Real Madrid Foundation. Juan Pablo Castuera Zubieta y Landa, executive secretary of the Municipality of San Pedro Garza García — representing mayor Mauricio Farah — expressed his enthusiasm for the announcement and revealed that three areas within Clouthier Park will be made available for the Educational Football Program. This becomes the second site in Nuevo León, joining the one already operating in Apodaca.
The Educational Football Program in Nuevo León will offer participants a training experience based on the Real Madrid Foundation’s own methodology, in which football becomes an educational tool for human and social development.
