Palladium Hotel Group has announced that the football clinics it organises with the Real Madrid Foundation in its lodgings in America will be extended, as a sign of its commitment to sport and children. Through this project, which promotes sport as an instrument of socialisation in childhood and adolescence, and organised in collaboration with Sports Tourism Education (STE), the hotel group is committed to promoting sporting activity due to its positive impact on the personal development and well-being of children.
At the presentation ceremony, which took place at Real Madrid CityEmilio Butragueño, director of Institutional Relations of Real Madrid, and Sergio Zertuche, chief sales marketing officer of Palladium Hotel Group, attended the event, saying: "It's an honour for Palladium to continue working together with the Real Madrid Foundation to promote sport as a recreational-educational tool and to highlight its positive impact on the development of children and young people. Thanks to this initiative, boys and girls have the chance to enjoy the unique experience of a week of training using the Real Madrid Foundation's methodology while they enjoy a dream holiday with their families".
Butragueño said: "We're very pleased to continue with this project, bringing to many families the essence of the Real Madrid Foundation to special places. These clinics are a unique opportunity for youngsters to experience the values and methodology of the Real Madrid Foundation in a unique environment".
Multiple destinations
Following the success of the first edition in 2022 at the hotel located in Imbassaí, destinations such as Riviera Maya (2023), Punta Cana (2024) and next year, Costa Mujeres, in Mexico, have been added to the programme. Exclusively available to guests of the Grand Palladium Imbassaí Resort Spa (Brazil), Grand Palladium Hotels Resorts in Punta Cana, Grand Palladium Hotels Resorts in Riviera Maya and Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort Spa, the programme is a unique experience that offers guests the chance to fulfil the dream of many children to be able to train with the same methodology as their idols.
Starting in January, the clinics will take place in Imbassai from the 6th to the 10th and from the 13th to the 17th. They will be held in Riviera Maya from 14 to 18 April and from 28 July to 1 August. The Punta Cana event will take place from 21 to 25 July. And, as a new feature, in Costa Mujeres, they will take place on 4 August. During the five days, the boys and girls can spend one and a half hours training every day and also get a complete official Real Madrid Foundation uniform.
Unique experience with the Real Madrid Foundation methodology
The training sessions take place at the resort's facilities and have coaches appointed by the Real Madrid Foundation, who lead the training, divided into sessions on techniques, game strategies, combination of moves and skills on the pitch, among others, ending with a match between the participants. The methodology used, called The Real Way, combines individual coaching and the development of the principles of leadership, teamwork, respect and effort.
During 2023, the youngsters and children who take part in the sessions were able to enjoy a visit from Kenti Robles. In 2024, Fernando Morientes attended the clinics in Riviera Maya, where the children were able to meet him and hear first-hand tips and techniques to improve their game.
