The Foundation's schools in Ukraine celebrate the third tournament in values
This social sports event was carried out thanks to funds from the European Union.
The Real Madrid Foundation held the third edition of the tournament among its social sports schools in Vynnyky (Ukraine), marking the conclusion of the European Union's co-financing of the project developed alongside Salesian Missions. The tournament brought together 40 children aged 9 to 13 from the social sports schools in Vynnyky, managed by the Salesian Congregation of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, and Zhytomyr, driven in collaboration with the Delegation of the Order of St. Francis de Sales in Ukraine.
The event once again became a space for coexistence and learning, strengthening the connection between the teams and the sense of belonging to the Real Madrid Foundation. In a context marked by war, the tournament provided participants and their families with a safe environment to enjoy sports, share experiences, and find moments of normalcy and joy.
Days filled with enthusiasm and commitment
The dynamics of the tournament also allowed for the continued strengthening of the practical application of the educational methodology, both among the beneficiaries and the technical teams. The experience helped reinforce the motivation of the participants, who approached each day with enthusiasm and commitment, demonstrating the values acquired in their respective schools. As a symbolic recognition, all players from the eight participating teams were awarded based on the values emphasized during the tournament, while each school received its trophy and the coaches were honored with the coach in values medal.
The coach of the Vynnyky social sports school, Andrii Tsimerman, highlighted the project's impact on the participants, emphasizing how the children have internalized values such as respect, equality, and team spirit, reflecting them both on and off the field and incorporating them into their daily lives.
A methodological learning
The tournament also served to consolidate the impact of all participating schools, including the one promoted by Epicentr for Children in previous editions, which significantly contributed to methodological learning and the development of best practices among the beneficiaries.
