The Real Madrid Foundation were at Real Madrid City to present a new phase of the social sports project it has run in collaboration with Riyadh Schools for over 10 years. The new agreement marks a key stage of the program's expansion, having evolved from a social sports school to become an Educational Football Program (EFP), strengthening its impact on education and sport in Saudi Arabia.

The project benefits over 300 participants, including a women-only football team, reflecting the commitment of both institutions to offering equal opportunities in sport. The sporting activities take place at the Riyadh Schools facilities and the program is expected to continue growing with the opening of two further bases for the 2025-2026 season. The presentation was attended by figures including the Saudi Arabian ambassador to Spain: Princess Haifa Bint Abdulaziz Al Mogrin; the director general of Riyadh Schools, Mr. Abdulrahman Alghofaili; and former player Roberto Carlos.

Fostering youth development
In his speech, Mr. Abdulrahman Alghofaili explained: "This agreement represents a significant expansion in the existing collaboration with the Real Madrid Foundation. The project is in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, and aims to foster youth development in the institution, with a particular focus on women's and youth football."

This event underlines the Real Madrid Foundation's commitment to social and sporting development, focused around training young people and promoting women's football. It is aligned with the modernisation and social progress goals marked by Saudi Arabia as part of the country's Vision 2030.
