The first team are in the USA, where the Foundation runs 13 social sports schools and 120 clinics
They're located in Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts and Virginia, and some of the clinics' participants will have the chance to attend the matches.
The Real Madrid Foundation runs a total of 13 social sports schools in the United States, located in Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts and Virginia. The projects are designed to boost social inclusion among young first and second-generation immigrants. Sport is used as a tool to help them with conflict resolution, to motivate them to continue their studies and to reduce school dropout, as well as to improve their linguistic abilities.
In Miami, the Soccer at the Parks program is delivered in collaboration with the International Studies Foundation, benefitting around 60 participants. Meanwhile, in Massachusetts, they work alongside the Webster and Lawrence public school network to reduce school dropout. That is precisely the aim of the nine social sports schools in Arlington (Virginia), in collaboration with the Arlington Soccer Association (ASA). Lastly, in Denver (Colorado), with the Colorado United Soccer Club, there is a social sports school that aids over 100 students of Ibero-American origin and includes education on healthy habits and identifying malnutrition, in collaboration with Abbott.
Educational football
Meanwhile, in the field of educational football, the Real Madrid Foundation is running some 119 weekly clinics across the United States this summer, alongside Kaptiva Sports, Avanza, Akinji and Eurosoccer. Some of the participants in these experiences will have the chance to go and watch the first-team matches in Chicago and Charlotte, thanks to adidas' collaboration with the Foundation.
