Real Madrid C.F., its President and its Board of Directors are deeply saddened by the passing of Sir Bobby Charlton, a Manchester United, England and world football legend.
 
Real Madrid would like to send our condolences to his family, loved ones, Manchester United and all football fans both in England and around the world.
 
Bobby Charlton won the 1966 World Cup with England. He made 106 appearances for England, scoring 49 goals.
 
With Manchester United, where he played for 17 seasons, he won 1 European Cup, 3 League titles and 1 FA Cup.
 
He won the Ballon d'Or in 1966. He was made a Sir by Queen Elizabeth II and also received the FIFA Order of Merit.
 
Sir Bobby passed away today at the age of 86. May he rest in peace.
