Scariolo: “We played a serious game”
NEWS.

Sergio Scariolo and Campazzo analysed Real Madrid’s victory against Baskonia on EuroLeague matchday 15. The coach said: “It was an important victory. It wasn’t easy. We played a serious game, with ups and downs. We always need to push all the players forward because we rely on them all to give us a decisive boost in any game and in the long term.”
"Baskonia have two great shooters who are on outstanding form. We defended really well, but despite that, they scored 42 points against us. It's true that we've managed to lower Luwawu-Cabarrot's percentages somewhat, but Howard has been incredible, although we've seen him do these things in previous seasons. We have to give credit to Baskonia. They're playing well and Galbiati is doing an excellent job. He has a very good squad with the tweaks he's made."

Team play
"The structure of our team requires it. We need to work hard on our offence and defence. Other teams thrive on the inspiration of these high-speed shots. But we have a different structure. We have to choose our shots well, create advantages and pass the ball well.”

Campazzo: “We look for victory from defence”
“After the break, there was a change in intensity and a change in mindset. We're looking for victory from defence. We knew we weren't playing badly in attack, but in defence, we were chasing them all the time. We wanted to be aggressive and they played more uncomfortably. In attack, we continue to do our job.”

Confidence
“It's normal to have started the way we did after so many changes; we're still in a process. We, more than anyone, know that we have to be patient. We are being patient. We're playing good basketball now, but there's a lot of room for improvement, and that's the path we're on.”
