The league leaders beat Río Breogán away in the last game of the first half of the season and equalled their best winning streak of the season, with eight wins. For the third consecutive week, Real Madrid remain unbeaten after big wins in the Euroleague against Milan and Monaco. Hezonja, who broke his league points record in our jersey(28 points and a rating of 30), led another offensive showcase for the team, which scored over 100 points. Len and Garuba also stood out (12 points each) and Egor made his debut, having just turned 18.

The first quarter saw Madrid start strongly, with a 10-0 run in their favour in the first three minutes of the game, but they then lost ground to Río Breogán's second unit. CampazzoGaruba and Hezonja accounted for almost all of our team's attack with 17 of the 19 points (19-19, min. 10). Madrid made the trip without Tavares, Deck and Abalde, and completed the squad with Almansa and Egor.

The game remains evenly balanced
The Lugo side imposed their freshness to grow during the second quarter. They gained confidence and the outside players Alonso and Cook came to the fore. Inside, Dibba and Sako took advantage of the absence of a natural five on the court to reach their maximum lead with a score of 43-35 in the 18th minute. Real Madrid, who had launched a fightback led by Feliz (6 points) and Lyles (4 assists) when they found themselves behind for the first time, had to apply themselves in the final stretch of this period. Campazzo and Len's combined presence brought this. The point guard teamed up with the centre, who scored 8 points in a row to tie the game at half-time (43-43).

Our team found more offensive inspiration in the third quarter. Led by Hezonja (12 points), the great work of Kramer and Len (+22 and +23 with them on the court respectively), and accompanied by accuracy from the three-point line (6), Scariolo's men took the initiative with leads of up to 10 points. Río Breogán managed to reduce the deficit to 5 thanks to Mavra's contribution (65-70, min. 30).

33 points in the final quarter sealed the game
A three-pointer by Alonso brought the score to within two points at the start of the final period. But Madrid showed their most solid and cohesive side, with everyone contributing. They regained their aggressiveness in defense through Feliz and Garuba, who made the play of the game with a block on Alonso and a subsequent dunk on the counterattack. Llull and Procida joined in on the offense. A three-pointer from the captain and two from the Italian stretched the lead to over 10 points. Río Breogán tried to get back into the game, but Hezonja killed their hopes. The Croatian scored another two three-pointers in a row to put our team 21 points ahead and seal the game. There was time for Egor to make his debut. The youth player, who turned 18 on 23 January, replaced Campazzo with 1:12 seconds remaining. With a 2+1 from Hezonja, Madrid reached 100 points for the fourth time this month (85-103, min. 40).
