Real Madrid ended the EuroLeague in 2025 with defeat away from home. Scariolo's team were unable to secure victory at the Salle Gaston Médecin against Monaco in the match on matchday 18.
The home side took the first two quarters, but after the break, our team tied the game, which was settled in the final seven minutes. Campazzo (28 points and 41 PIR) was Real Madrid's standout player.

The home side started better, taking advantage of defensive errors and scoring from the free throw line (7-2). That was until Tavares appeared, causing panic in the Monegasque zone with 15 points and 7 rebounds (5 offensive) and giving Madrid the lead (18-20; min. 9). Three points from Strazel gave Monaco the lead at the end of the first quarter (21-20).

Strazel increased the lead again with 6 points, countering Maledon's 5 (34-27). HezonjaTavares and Campazzo reduced the deficit to 2 points (38-36; min. 18). Despite their efforts, Tavares' third foul (penalised after a clear block and subsequent technical foul) and Monaco's tempo gave the home side a +7 lead (47-40; min. 19). A three-pointer from Procida in the final seconds made it 47-43 before the break.

Real Madrid equalise
After the break, Monaco once again dominated in attack, capitalising on their opponents' mistakes. A 10-0 run in 3 minutes gave them their biggest lead of the game (+14). Real Madrid never dropped their heads and 8 points from Campazzo got the team back into the game (61-57; min. 26). A basket from Okeke levelled the score (70-70; min. 30).

The game is decided
The Madridistas took the lead thanks to Maledon and Deck (72-73; min. 32). There was no let-up, and Mirotic scored two consecutive three-pointers to restore Monaco's lead (81-75). Hayes and Okobo extended the lead further with a 12-0 run (87-75; min. 35). An impressive Campazzo tried to fight back with 14 points in less than two minutes, but his efforts were not enough to secure victory (100-95; min. 40).
