Scariolo: "It was a tough game and we leave happy with the victory"
"Feliz was truly decisive," added our coach.
Sergio Scariolo spoke to the media after the 93-95 away victory against Bàsquet Girona. Our coach analyzed the game: "Bàsquet Girona played this game with tremendous accuracy on the three-point line, with Needham and Livingston highly inspired. On some shots, we could have done more, while others were scored with great merit. We were ahead for most of the game, but we never had the feeling of having closed it. They, with their style of play and speed in open court, were always dangerous. With three possessions, they could score nine points and eliminate the difference."
Demanding schedule and rotations
"It was the fifth game in nine days and, once again, with a rest period for the management of key players' loads. It was difficult to come here and not expect a closely contested game. We leave happy and now we can rest a little."
The opponent
"I think it's a team with a lot of spirit, enthusiasm, energy, and a very defined style of play with a truly vertical transition capability. They have two players who push a lot and others around them who know how to take advantage of the danger created by these two. It's a well-coached team, where you can see there is good chemistry."
Feliz
“He played a good game. He did well, I think he was very effective in many aspects of the game, including the last possession where he was very smart in attempting to touch the ball. He was truly decisive.”
