Scariolo: “The team played a solid game on both ends of the court”
“From the middle of the first quarter, we regained rhythm and speed,” stated our coach.
Sergio Scariolo addressed the media in the press room at the Movistar Arena following the 95-78 victory against Hiopos Lleida. Our coach analyzed the match: “I think that, after a somewhat sluggish start, from the middle of the first quarter we regained some rhythm and speed, and we were able to take control of the game, which also allowed us to distribute the minutes as we wanted.”
“In the end, the players who needed to play did so, and those who needed more rest were able to take it. Those who rested completely, once again, managed to do so thanks to the efforts of the others, without any negative impact on the result.”
An important victory
“Despite not being very accurate with three-point shots, missing many open shots especially at the start, the team played a solid game on both ends of the court. It’s a victory, and like all wins, it’s important because we know perfectly well how hard it is to win games in this League. We see it every day with all the results that happen, and we are happy to maintain a good cushion over those behind us.”
