Pedro Martínez: “We have been on the right track”
“The important thing is to keep improving and making progress,” explained the coach after the victory against Baskonia.
Pedro Martínez analyzed Real Madrid's victory against Baskonia in the second preseason friendly: “You always have to value what you do and what your opponent does. We faced a team that was very depleted, especially in the interior game, which made Baskonia not as competitive as they usually are. But the positive part is that we did many things we practiced in training, the players showed good intensity, and I think this is the right path.”
“Obviously, we won’t always be as accurate as we were in the first half, and the opponent won’t always make things as easy for us as they did today. But in what depends on us, we have been on the right track.”
Mentality
“There will be days when the opponent is better, puts up more challenges, and we won’t be as accurate, but if you train well, things will eventually work out. Let’s see if we can have a good week starting Tuesday and keep making progress. The most important thing is not just playing well one day but improving consistently. It’s easier when you lose, but even when you win, you must maintain the mindset to improve.”
