Scariolo: "We've done some very good things"
"In the last quarter, we thought that, with a 17 or 18-point lead, the game was won and we relaxed," reflected the coach.
Sergio Scariolo spoke to the media after our team's victory over Dreamland Gran Canaria in the opening game of the League: "We've done some very good things and there are still things to improve, which is typical at the start of the season. It's a team with a lot of new players. We had a lot of limitations in terms of minutes; we had to take care of the players' health."
Satisfaction
"There's a willingness to share the ball and defend. Then there are some lapses, such as losing possession at the last second or a change or pass that we don't see. Everything will come with time. Perhaps in the last quarter we thought that, with a 17 or 18-point lead, the game was won and we relaxed a little. Considering that it's a game two days after a big effort in the Euroleague, against a good team like Gran Canaria, we have to accept it and be satisfied."
