Chus Mateo and Abalde spoke to Realmadrid TV the day before the Euroleague clash against Monaco (Thursday, 8:45pm CET). The coach explained: "It's a very demanding week. We're going to play against the three teams that are, or were, at the top. Yesterday we won in Paris and now we play Monaco, who are top of the table. We also play Valencia at the weekend. It's very demanding, a double week in the Euroleague is always demanding and even more so if you're playing against teams who are at the top of the table. Monaco are in great form and are playing really well."
"They play at a high tempo and very well as a team. It will be a difficult game, but we're looking forward to it and we're always trying to find the continuity that we've been lacking. We're digging deep to find it and hopefully these two games at such a high level will help us to find the continuity we need."

"We always feel the fans behind us and supporting us. It's true that in the last few Euroleague games we haven't given them the joy they expected, but we know that it's a complicated year and we have to stick together. I know that this is the way it is and that people are going to be with us and help us to give that extra tenacity that is demanded of us."

Abalde: "We're going to have to do a good job"
"It's a very demanding week and, apart from the energy and confidence that victories generate, it was necessary. We can't lose our grip on either competition, but we have to keep winning, especially in the Euroleague. We're happy with the win against Paris yesterday and now we're focused on Monaco, which is another important challenge."

"Monaco is a great team. They've had a significant change of coach with the arrival of Spanoulis and they're a very difficult team to beat on all levels. We're going to have to do a good job to get a win which is very important in front of our home fans."
