Chus Mateo: “The rebounding was decisive”
“We had our chances and we came close, but we didn't solve that problem,” said the coach after the game against Olympiacos.

Chus Mateo analysed Real Madrid’s display against Olympiacos in Piraeus. The coach had the following to say: "I think it was the rebounding that was decisive, not anything else. It was an even game. Olympiacos hadn't been good at rebounding until today. They hadn't shown that aggressiveness until now, and today they showed it; they did it very well. There was no other key point of the game than rebounding."
"It was one of those games where we definitely had our chances. It might've been close to going in our favour, or evened up until the end, if we'd solved the problem we had with the rebounding. But we didn't. Olympiacos have been showing this type of defence for a long time, probably since Bartzokas has been here as coach. They're good defenders, physically strong."
"They have very clear defensive principles, all of them. They've been very solid for a long time, and it's not easy to beat Olympiacos or score a lot of points against them. You have to perform well offensively to find a way to score points against them."
