Chus Mateo spoke to Realmadrid TV the day before Real Madrid’s game against Baxi Manresa on matchday five of the Liga ACB (Sunday, 12:30 pm CET): “We're going to try to produce a very good performance against Manresa because our opponents demand that of us. We have to have the utmost respect for this team that has managed to beat Valencia and Gran Canaria and has been playing well since the start of the season. They're a team capable of moving up the court very fast, rebounding offensively very well, defending very aggressively and taking the game to a lot of possessions.”

“We're doing well. We're trying to recover as we know that next week is going to be another physically demanding week, because there's another EuroLeague double-header and all the games are away from home.”

The importance of the WiZink Center
“We hope we can continue to perform well at home, which is what we've been doing so far. Hopefully, we can complete this fourth home game in a row by playing well. We've felt very comfortable and now that we need the support of our fans we know that they will be with us.”

Assessment of the season so far
“We've had bad, not so bad, good and very good games. We want to achieve the consistency we've been looking for lately. I think we've taken a step forward defensively and I hope we continue in that sense.”
