Chus Mateo: “We kept a cool head at the end to win the game”
“Campazzo had an extraordinary game and Abalde was also brilliant,” said the coach after the victory over Dreamland Gran Canaria.

Chus Mateo analysed Real Madrid’s victory over Dreamland Gran Canaria on matchday day seven of the Liga ACB: “We put on a serious defensive performance for most of the game. We won every quarter by digging in and we kept a cool head at the end against a Gran Canaria team that always fights.”
“I'm very pleased with the effort of my players, five of them playing more than 25 minutes. We have to keep working to win the game against Virtus. I'd like to dedicate our victory to all the volunteers who were in Valencia and also to a Madridista who died a couple of days ago.”
Campazzo
“Everyone knows that for us to perform well we need to have the best version of Campazzo. He had an extraordinary game and Abalde was also brilliant. Thanks to them and their teammates, we got a deserved victory.”
Abalde
“He's a professional as the top of his game and he's willing to do whatever is asked of him. He's becoming a more mature player with more knowledge of the game. We need people of his character to give us a boost at times when we have problems. I'm delighted that he steps up every time we ask him to do it.”
