Chus Mateo: "Playing in front of our fans gives us confidence"
"UCAM Murcia are playing well, and have great point-scoring potential," said the coach ahead of the next clash (Sunday, 12:30 pm CET).

Chus Mateo spoke to Realmadrid TV on the eve of the matchday 22 clash with UCAM Murcia in the league, set for the Movistar Arena (Sunday, 12:30 pm CET): “It's important to remain unbeaten at home in the league because it shows how well we're playing at our place. We're doing a good job and playing in front of our fans gives us confidence. That's what's keeping us at the top of the table. We have to keep moving forward. There's a long way to go in the league and you have to win your home games."
“Our performances in the league make us feel we can do better than we have been in the other competitions. We believe that if we're near the top in such a competitive league, we should be able to find more consistency in the EuroLeague, where we're struggling a bit. We need to be stronger and make the most of all the good things we're doing in the league."
The opponent
“UCAM Murcia are in tenth after having wholesale changes to the squad. They did have a bit of a rough start but they're playing really well right now. They've made several changes and they're an interesting outfit who have improved physically and have great point-scoring power."
Two games per week
“Not having these double game weeks helps because you can train better. We have to be a bit slicker in offense, we're lacking in confidence and missing shots we would have made before. Training helps you to improve on those elements, but it's mostly about matches. We have to keep working hard and fighting. There's still a long way to go but we have to remain optimistic and not stop working."
