Chus Mateo: “Heart, energy and the will to win will be important”

Chus Mateo talked ahead of the first League semi-final against Barcelona, to be played at the WiZink Center (Wednesday, 8:30pm CEST): “We're approaching it for what it is, a League semi-final against a side that destiny has chosen us to play against in this round. We will be extremely focused. It won't be easy but we're going to try to beat them in order to reach the final”.
“We have to be extremely prepared, capable of visualising a playoff where everything is going to be tough. We're going to have to defend very well against players everyone recognises, who have a lot of scoring ability. They're a tough team that defends very well and we'll have to be able to attack well. We have to take care of the basics and be able to control our shooting”.

“I'm expecting a game where, knowing how well we know each other, the heart, the desire to win and the energy we put into it will be important. It's the only game we're thinking about. I don't want to look beyond that. We have to stand up in front of our fans. Their help is going to be very important”.
