Chus Mateo: "We want to keep doing things well"
"We're playing an opponent that's playing for their lives and we have to be competitive," explained the coach.

Chus Mateo spoke ahead of Real Madrid-Coviran Granada in the Regular League’s penultimate round (Sunday, 5pm CEST). The coach referred to the game that will be played at the Movistar Arena: “Let's keep winning at home, that’s always good. Winning in front of our fans is good because they’re eager to see us win. We have a rival in front of us who are playing for their lives, they have been playing better in the last few games and they want to cause a surprise in Madrid to have a chance of staying in the division until the last day”.
“They’re going to give their all and we have to do our job as well as possible, respecting the competition, and that the work we’re doing during the week is worthwhile. The only real concern I have is that we might lose some of our competitive rhythm. We’re trying to make sure that the week doesn't take too long. We're going to do three rounds without the possibility of losing top spot. That makes you relax and I wouldn't like that because there's going to be a high-class playoff coming up and we'll have to be ready from the first minute”.
The playoffs
“We're really looking forward to it. We’ve done a very good job during the Regular League. We've gone five months without losing in the league and that says a lot about the competitive nature of the team in such a tough league. We want to keep doing well and, as far as we are concerned, we want to be ready”.
