Chus Mateo: “I’m very happy with the seriousness with which we faced the game”
NEWS.

Chus Mateo reflected on Real Madrid's victory over MoraBanc Andorra in the 17th round of the league. After the game, the coach said: “Andorra started well but so did we and we were able to kill the game off at the end of the second quarter. We were able to maintain this lead thanks to our good two and three-point shooting. I’m very happy with the seriousness with which we faced the game”.

“It's a very complicated court but we were strong. It was a difficult trip for us with all the matches we are playing. It was our 41st official match, double that of many of our opponents and with all the travel and the fatigue that comes with this. I'm happy because we were able to maintain a physical level that wasn't easy.”

Team contribution.
“We need everyone because the season is very long. We are reaching the halfway point of what is going to be close to 90 games. I need everyone to be ready to contribute and increase the number of people who help us. I'm happy in that respect as well.”

Momentum of the game
“We are improving but we have a long way to go. The league is very tough and complicated and when we go away from home everyone wants to play well against us. In addition, we have to combine this with a formidable Euroleague that is very challenging physically. But this is what we have to do and this is what we want. We have changed our mentality and that is allowing us to see that we can aspire to the objectives we set at the beginning of the season. We’re on course for what we set out for. Hopefully, we’ll soon be able to count on the players who aren’t here, like Deck and Ibaka, and Dennis Smith Jr.”.
