Chus Mateo: “I'm very proud of the effort and for making it to another final”
“We already know what it's like to play a final against Valencia Basket and they're a very tough opponent,” explained the coach.

Chus Mateo spoke to the media after Real Madrid sealed their place in the Liga Endesa final: “It was really tough because Unicaja play phenomenally well. They’re a team that knows each other inside out and have a superb coach, who I consider to be one of the best in Spain, if not the best. I'm happy for them because they have been excellent in recent seasons. They deserve a lot of credit.”
“We also deserve a lot of credit for holding on, because we've played 85 official games and the lads have fought like lions until the very last second. I'm really proud of their effort and we're looking forward to another final. This group is still hungry, and I'm delighted about that.”
