Chus Mateo spoke to Realmadrid TV a day ahead of the round 32 league game against Baxi Manresa at the Nou Congost (12:30 pm CEST).
The coach gave his thoughts ahead of the game: “I imagine the best version of Baxi Manresa, they're playing very well this year. Since the start of the year, they play really fast with a lot with many talented players. It's a small, difficult court, where it's not easy to beat an opponent that presses, defends well and anticipates. They take the game to many possessions and many points. It won't be easy to play at the Nou Congost and it never is, but even more so in these circumstances in which they’re trying to get into the playoffs. We expect the best possible version of Baxi Manresa”.
“I would like to see the team not betraying the philosophy of going for every game, playing to the maximum and not giving up. These games are good for a lot and to maintain the competitive quality. It's worth using the competition for that and we must do our best for ourselves. The motivation is to do a good job for us. We are defending well this year and we want to maintain that competitive level. We're going to try to keep doing well in every game”.
