Chus Mateo and Deck discussed the EuroLeague second-round match between Real Madrid and Partizan (8:45pm). The coach gave his thoughts on the game at the WiZink Center: "Every game in the Euroleague is very difficult, regardless of the fact that Partizan has always made things very complicated for us over the years. We'll be looking to improve on our performance so far, improving gradually will give us the chance to win. It all depends on whether we play a good defensive game, find our options in attack, read the game and play well".

"Feliz, Llull and Rathan-Mayes can all play point guard, in the event that the appeals are not successful and Campazzo is not able to play tomorrow. I'm not going to go into whether it's fair or not, it is what it is and the Euroleague has established that. The only thing we have to do is accept it and learn the lesson. In any case, it is what it is and more than likely we're going to have to play without him".

Garuba's injury
"It's a long-standing injury. We're going to try to get it sorted out because we need him at his best. He's got some discomfort and we'll see if he's available tomorrow or not".

Partizan
"They're a physical team, with good one-on-ones on the outside and good players. They have pick-and-roll players and a very good inside game. They've put together a good team and we have to stop them in a lot of areas. We have to be able to balance our defence well, make sure they don't create advantages, and be solid in rebounding and in the low post game. They are a very experienced team".

Deck: "We're happy to be playing at home again"
"It'll be a tough game, like every Euroleague game, but we're happy to be playing at home again. They're a great team but we expect to be at our best and put in a good performance. We have to continue to improve our team play and find our way. We've had quite a few changes and we have to carry on improving".

"We're getting better every week and starting to play more the way we want to play. There is still a lot of room for improvement, but it's a long season. I feel good, I'm happy to be healthy and to be able to help the team and give my best".
