Chus Mateo: “We have to take a step forward”

Real Madrid coach Chus Mateo talked about the EuroLeague round 14 match against Fenerbahçe at the WiZink Center(Thursday, 8:45pm CET): "We're approaching the game knowing that we're the ones who have to take a step forward. We're at a stage of the season where we want to get into a good position. At the moment we're out of the playoff positions and it's clear that we're making one step forward and one step back".
"We have and we need to make progress by being more consistent in the good moments and in the not so good moments, gritting our teeth and be much more solid. We've been looking for that from the beginning and we need to do it now. We're playing in front of our fans and we need them now more than ever. We have to stick together and we know they're going to be behind us, because they always are".

"They're at the top of the standings, they're doing well and they've got a lot of quality players on the outside. They also have an inside game that can open up the court. We understand what we're up against. They play good defence, don't take too many shots and have good percentages. We have to pay special attention to their shooters".
