Tavares: “We have to play hard and keep the intensity up”
“The team knows what it means to play in a Copa del Rey final”, said Taylor.
Walter Tavares and Jeff Taylor gave their thoughts on the Copa del Rey final 6:30pm CET, in the team’s final training session ahead of the clash. The Cape Verdean center said: “We have to play hard, keep the intensity up right from the start and not let our guard down. They’re great side and we’ll have to be at our best”.
“The challenge of playing against them motivates us and even more so in a final. Every match is a different story and we’ll try to play as best as we can to win the game”.
Positions on the court
“All the positions matter and both sides have top players. I’m just going to do my best in my position. We’ve still got a lot of players who have played in a lot of finals and won many trophies”.
Taylor: “The team is ready and we’ve come a long way”
“The team is ready and we’ve come a long way. Everyone knows what it means to play in a Copa del Rey final. Barcelona are a great side and we’ll have to work really hard. My job is to defend as best as I can. I always try to give it my all. We moved the ball around really well yesterday and made comfortable shots. I kept receiving the ball and only had to shoot”.
