Abalde: "It's a privilege and a matter of pride to be able to continue to wear this jersey"
"Real Madrid represents the best and being here changes your life", explained the player after extending his contract.

Alberto Abalde spoke on Realmadrid TV after signing a contract extension that will last for the next three seasons. The forward said: "I'm very pleased. It's a privilege and a matter of pride to be able to continue to wear this jersey every day, and I'm very pleased to remain here. I'm going to carryon on working hard to help the team win everything".
"Coming to Real Madrid was the best decision. It represents the best thing. Everyone in my family is a madridista and coming to Real Madrid is something that changes your life. I feel privileged to be here and every game and every training session is amazing. I feel very honoured to wear this jersey, to come here to train every day and to fight to improve to help this club, where the demands are the highest and where you have to fight and compete to try to win every trophy".
Fifth season
"I approach it like every year, full of enthusiasm and excitement. It's weeks of hard work and for those of us who have been here for a few years, trying to integrate with our new teammates and get to know each other again. We have to work hard and get going, as in three weeks‘ time the first trophy is up for grabs, the Spanish Super Cup, and we're focused on that objective".
Expectations
"Every year is a new chapter. Last season was almost outstanding. We won three out of four trophies and reached the Euroleague final. But in this club it's like that, you move on. It's a new season, new hopes and we have to set our standards in every game. Every team is going to make it difficult for us because in this jersey the team you are going to play against is going to give its all to beat you. We have to focus on preparing well, building things up during pre-season and focus on the Super Cup".
