Real Madrid is officially the first team to qualify for the Euroleague playoffs
The play-offs for the title will be played between 23 April and 8 May.
First objective achieved. With their victory over Virtus Bologna, Real Madrid have mathematically qualified for the Euroleague playoffs with five games remaining in the Regular Season. Chus Mateo's side have thus confirmed their great season by reaching the next round for the 16th time since 2000, the last 11 in a row, and are the only team to have qualified for all the playoffs in the current format since 2016. The playoffs will take place from 23 April to 8 May.
Real Madrid continues to break records this season. They completed their best first round ever with a balance of 16 wins in 17 games and a total of 23 victories in 29 rounds. Since the 2012/13 season, Real Madrid have always qualified for the playoffs. In that time, they have been champions three times (2014/15, 2017/18 and 2022/23), finalists three times (2012/13, 2013/14 and 2021/22) and semi-finalists twice. In total, they have played in eight Final Fours out of the last ten. If we count only the current format of a Regular Phase, which was introduced in the 2016/17 season and where the best eight teams qualify, Real Madrid have been in all the play-offs for the title, the only team to do so. The next objective: the home-court factor.
