Third anniversary of the basketball team's eighth Super Cup

Real Madrid lifted their eighth Spanish Super Cup on 12 September 2021. Tenerife's Pabellón Santiago Martín hosted the tournament won by the madridistas thanks to victory over Barcelona in the final. The success saw Real Madrid retain the title of champions for the fourth consecutive edition.

In the showpiece event, Real Madrid got the better of the azulgranas, 83-88. Llull, named tournament MVP, was the standout performer with 24 points and a PIR of 27. Poirier (16 points and 11 rebounds) and Alocén (11) played key roles as well. On their way to lifting the Super Cup, Real Madrid also saw off Lenovo Tenerife in the semifinal (70-72).
