Tavares: “We're confident because we're unbeaten in the playoffs, but we have to do our job well”
"The more the fans help us and get behind us, the easier it'll be", said the centre before the second game against UCAM Murcia (Monday, 8:30pm CEST).
Ahead of Real Madrid's second game in the Endesa League playoff final against UCAM Murcia at the WiZink Center (Monday, 8:30pm), Tavares gave his thoughts on the encounter. The centre said: "It's going to be similar to the first game. They're a very good side and have numerous options, both in defence and in attack. They'll have a different approach tomorrow, so we have to be ready for anything. They're not in the final for nothing".
"We're confident because we're unbeaten in the playoffs, but we have to do our job well, no matter how good we are. We have to be professional and not get complacent. We're in the final and anything can happen".
What can be improved?
"We have to stay focused throughout the game. They never gave the game away and they've been the best team on the road. We can't let our guard down".
Winning this trophy
"It's very difficult. We're going to try our best to win and keep pick up another trophy".
The role of the fans at the WiZink Center
"The more the fans help us and get behind us, the easier it'll be and the less fatigued we'll feel".
