Real Madrid now know who their opponent will be in the quarter-finals of the Liga Endesa. With home court advantage going to the undisputed leader of the regular seasonChus Mateo's team will face Baskonia, ranked eighth.

The best-of-three series will begin on Tuesday, 3 June, at 7:00pm CEST at the Movistar Arena. The second game will be played on Friday 6th at 9:15pm CEST at the Fernando Buesa Arena. If a third game is necessary, it will be played at the Madrid court on Sunday 8th at 6:30pm CEST. If our team qualifies for the semi-finals, their opponent will be the winner of the playoff between Unicaja and Barcelona.

It will be the fourth time that the two teams have met in the quarter-finals of La Liga. On the previous three occasions, Real Madrid came out on top: 2-1 (1987/88 season) and 2-0 (1988/89 and 1989/90). In the ACB era, they have also faced each other in seven semi-finals (4-3 to Madrid) and two finals (2-0 to Madrid). This season, they have played four games, with three wins for Madrid: two in La Liga (82-89 and 83-78) and one in the Euroleague (90-89).
