Lyles delivered his strongest performance in the EuroLeague Clasico

Real Madrid and Barcelona will square off again this Friday at the Movistar Arena in a fresh EuroLeague Clasico. In the first instalment, Scariolo's side won 92-101 at the Palau on matchday nine, with one player standing out above the rest: Trey Lyles. The Canadian had his best game in our jersey (32 in PIR) and set his personal record for points as a professional (29).
Lyles was overwhelming for Barcelona. In the 23:55 minutes he was on the Palau court, he posted 29 points with 5/7 in two-point shots, 4/6 in three-pointers and 7/7 in free throws. He also grabbed 2 rebounds, handed out 1 assist, stole 1 ball and received 4 personal fouls.
The power forward is Real Madrid's leading scorer (14) and in PIR (15.8) so far this season in Europe's top competition. With performances against Barcelona, Maccabi (16 and 29), Asvel (21 and 26), Valencia Basket (23 and 24) and Partizan (17 and 24), among others, Lyles has already accumulated 280 points in 20 games. With almost the whole second half of the season still to come, this is a figure that places him among the eight players who have scored the most points in the season of his debut with our team in the EuroLeague.
