Llull: “We're going to compete to our best to reach the final and win the Super Cup”
“We'll have to play a very complete game against Barça to have a chance of getting through,” the club captain told Realmadrid TV.
Sergio Llull spoke to Realmadrid TV after completing another training session in preparation for the Endesa Super Cup. The captain analysed the team's form and the semi-final against Barça, which will take place this Saturday in Murcia (6.30 pm CEST): “We're really looking forward to playing for this first trophy of the season. The team is doing well, we're in good shape. It's still early days, it's only just begun, but on Saturday we're going to try to compete to the best of our ability to reach the final and try to win it.”
“When you wear this shirt you have to be conscious of the responsibility that comes with it. That responsibility means trying to reach all the finals of the competitions we play and trying to win them. Those are the objectives for this season, starting with this Super Cup.”
The semi-final
“It'll be a very tough game, as always against Barcelona. They've also strengthened their squad very well, with very athletic and physical players. We're going to have to perform very well if we're going to have a chance of winning.”
“The objective is to try to win the Super Cup. The team is doing well and looking forward to it. The new players are adapting well and very quickly. We're going to have to play a very complete game and match their physical strength to have a chance of winning and playing in Sunday's final.”
