Sergio Llull has become the player with the most national titles in the history of Spanish basketball (25), after guiding Real Madrid to their 38th league title against Valencia Basket. The captain, who overtook Clifford Luyk and Rafael Rullán, two other true Madridista legends who held the record to date, has claimed 9 League titles, 7 Copas del Rey and 9 Spanish Super Cups in his 19 seasons at the club. In addition, he has been named MVP of the competition 1 time, MVP of the final 2 times and in the best five on 3 occasions.
After the final, Llull said this: "I learned from the best. Everything is easier when you have veteran players guiding you and showing you the way. I'm delighted with the way the year has ended. I always try to play at 100 per cent and show that character and heart that is required for any sport."

Clifford Luyk (14 Leagues and 10 Copas) and Rafa Rullán (14 Leagues, 9 Copas and 1 Spanish Super Cup) had been the most successful players in Spanish basketball at club level since the 1980s. A record that has been broken by Llull. The Menorcan arrived at Real Madrid at the age of 19 in 2007, and has gone on to accumulate an incredible honours list, surpassing the other legends of the club. He is the player with the most appearances in the history of Real Madrid (1,168).
Record number of ACB titles
