Llull: "The team is on the right track"

Sergio Llull spoke to Realmadrid TV prior to the Endesa Super Cup 2025 semifinals with La Laguna Tenerife on 27 September at Malaga's Martín Carpena (9:00 pm CEST): “We can't wait for the season to start properly. The team is on the right track, the new guys are settling in well, and the ones who have been here a while are adapting to the changes we've had. The team is hungry and excited, focused on lifting the first trophy of the season."
Early feelings
“We've got a great squad to handle such a tough, demanding calendar. The team is well stocked with highly versatile players, with different profiles in each position. It's a unit capable of defending really strongly, that can be physical, and we're gradually getting to know each other to build that chemistry that will help us play better as quickly as possible. The key elements are to defend the best we can, try and get control of the rebound, and then to play how we know in offense, especially early on in the season."
Super Cup opposition
“La Laguna Tenerife is a dangerous team, who are strong from the three-point line. They have real experience and that's crucial in tournaments like this. We're going to have to put in a disciplined performance, play consistently for 40 minutes if we want to win and make the final. I hope we can celebrate our first title. It won't be easy, but that's just added motivation. When you win and feel the satisfaction of having done a good job, you want more of that as often as possible. The first goal of the season is upon us."
Reflections
“We have to keep playing and giving our very best as the year goes on. Last year showed us that every game is important, you can't afford to switch off at any time, in any competition. We have to take it one step at a time, make sure the team gets in the groove, and fight to be at the top in every competition."
