30th anniversary of club's eighth European Cup in basketball
On 13 April 1995, Real Madrid defeated Olympiacos 73-61 in the final in Zaragoza.

Real Madrid were crowned European basketball champions for the eighth time in their history on 13 April 1995. 15 years after La Séptima, the Whites prevailed once again on the continent after beating Olympiacos in the final played in Saragossa. The squad, coached by Obradovic and spearheaded by Arvydas Sabonis, will always remain in the memory of all Madridistas.
Madrid reached the final after beating Limoges in the semi-finals (49-62). Despite Olympiacos' strength, Real Madrid clearly dominated the game and reached half-time with a commanding lead (38-28), which they extended at the end (73-61) to lift the trophy. Sabonis (23 points) and Arlauckas (16) were the top scorers for Real Madrid, who still reign supreme in the European Cup trophy cabinet with 11 trophies.
