Real Madrid wrap up 2024 after adding three new trophies to their trophy cabinet in the 2023/24 season. The Whites claimed their 37th league title, 29th Copa del Rey and 10th Spanish Super Cup. They also set a new record for the most wins in a season, with 72 in 86 matches.
The club's first title of the season was the Spanish Super Cup, which was played at the Palacio de los Deportes in Murcia. Real Madrid overcame Barcelona in the semi-finals (80-90) and Unicaja Malaga in the final (81-88). Campazzo was voted MVP of the tournament.
League and Cup champions
In the Copa del Rey, the Whites beat UCAM Murcia in the first round (84-79), Valencia Basket in the semi-finals (95-76) and Barcelona in the final (96-85), with Campazzo MVP of the tournament. And in the league, Chus Mateo’s boys produced a perfect playoff run with a record of 8 wins and no defeats (a feat that had not been achieved since 1985/86). The Madridistas prevailed 2-0 over Gran Canaria in the quarter-finals, 3-0 over Barcelona in the semi-finals and 3-0 over UCAM Murcia in the final. Campazzo won the MVP of the Regular Season and Musa was named MVP of the final.
A farewell to club legends
Two Madridista legends who have defined one of the most successful eras of the basketball section brought their remarkable careers to an end: Rudy Fernández (26 trophies in 13 seasons) and Sergio Rodríguez (17 in 8). Both received an emotional tribute and farewell ceremony at the Real Madrid City pavilion.
