Yabusele earned the silver medal at the Paris Olympics. France, after beating Germany in the semi-finals (73-69), could not manage to win against the United States, who beat Serbia. Llull and Rudy also took part in the tournament with Spain.

The madridista was proclaimed Olympic runner-up with his national team and had a good game in which he scored 20 points, 2 rebounds and 12 PIR.

Both Madrid players featured in Spain's opening game, which saw them beaten by Australia. Llull was one of the standout performers with 17 points. Rudy became the first player in the history of men's basketball to play in six Olympic Games.

Spain-Greece (84-77)
Llull and Rudy both put in impressive performances in their team's victory in the second game. Llull scored 13 points, while Rudy made 10.

Canada-Spain (88-85)
Both Madrid players featured in the match against Canada, who won the game and denied Spain a place in the next round. Llull scored 13 points.
