Hezonja named EuroLeague MVP of December
The Croatian recorded an average PIR of 17.2 in the five games he played throughout the month.
Mario Hezonja has been named EuroLeague MVP for the month of December. During the last five games in this competition, the forward has averaged 16 points, 5 rebounds and 17.2 PIR.
Among his most impressive performances were those in the double-header in Athens. First he posted a double-double (18 points and 10 rebounds) in the win over Olympiacos and then scored 19 points and 23 PIR in the victory over Panathinaikos. He also played a key role in the trip to Estrella Roja, where he finished the game with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 19 PIR. Hezonja is the second Madrid player to receive the MVP of the month award this season, following Campazzo in November.
